Did you know?  At any given time there are approximately 1000 children in foster care in Brevard County.
Author Wendy Johnson is a former foster parent and knows most children in care don't have any belongings to call their own.
Every book purchased under this program will go to a local foster child so they can have their very own copy of Farkle Finds His Furever Home!
Perhaps these kids will relate to Farkle when he feels scared in a strange place without his family.  And perhaps they too will learn to never give up hope.
Purchase one of these books today and it will be given to a local foster child in need.

Farkle Finds His Furever Home by author Wendy Johnson, President and Founder of Touch of Grey Rescue with illustrations by Leslie Harrington, is the first book in the Farkle and Friends children's book series based on real life ToG dogs!

A dog named Farkle is abandoned by his family at the animal shelter. There, he meets a wise old beagle named Miles who helps him understand why they aren’t getting adopted.  Once Farkle learns he has narcolepsy he worries nobody will ever want him.  One day, a rescue lady visits the shelter.  Could this be Farkle’s chance to find the furever home all shelter dogs dream about?

Based on a true story, Farkle Finds A Furever Home is a rescue tale about love, acceptance, and never giving up hope. Through lighthearted, yet realistic storytelling by first time author and Touch of Grey Rescue Founder Wendy Johnson, readers will learn about pet abandonment, overcrowded shelters, and the need for animal rescue. Farkle’s big blocky head and human-like eyes are brought to life through stunningly vivid illustrations by Leslie Harrington. Children and adults alike will find themselves rooting for Farkle, while falling in love with his silly, sweet, and sleepy disposition.  A portion of proceeds from every book sale will go to Touch of Grey Rescue, a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization that saves over 100 senior and special needs dogs every year.

What better way to spread joy and delight than by purchasing a book to donate to a local child. I know that this is a wonderful book, but I wanted to donate one to a child to help foster a love of reading. Thank you!
